JOURNALING: We were all set to fly out to Missouri before the entire city was shut down by the blizzard. We had over 3 feet of snow drifted up against the house. They had to use a backhoe to begin digging us out of the neighborhood.

JOURNALING: We ended up with an extra day at Mistaya since the helicopters could not fly in the heavy snow. We enjoyed our extra day of skiing.

JOURNALING: Our New Years tradition at Mistaya is to find the craziest hat to wear to dinner. Even Jenny (the dog) got in on the action. After a hard day skiing, no one made it to midnight.
